As discussed in my previous post, I wanted to touch on how we learned so much as a group in the preparation for the transfer of training to the class.
It's quite obvious that none of us, besides Christian who happens to be a fire fighter, knew how to fight a structured fire. While putting together our project, we not only learned how to fight a fire, but we learned that fire fighting is not exactly what it appears to be. We can all recognize that it is a difficult job and a very dangerous one, however I personally never thought twice about it. I didn't realize the lengthy fire fighting process and what the process entails from the sounding of the alarm to safely walking away from the fire you have just put out. The process is intense, long, and dangerous.
Just wanted to share how, at least I, never fully appreciated fire fighters and their line of work.
What do you guys think?
