Ropes Course

This is just some thoughts I had on the ropes course that we did yesterday:

Yesterday I climbed a pole and stood at the top of 25 feet in the air, not looking down but looking out. Out at a goal that I wanted to reach for and after I leaped off of the top of the pole I realized that it is not gravity that weighs you down... it is your own fears and self doubt. Yesterday I reached new heights knowing that IF  I didn't reach my goal that I was going to be okay... because my safety line was always there to back me up. So thank you to my team of safety lines (-Vinnie, Danielle, Nick, Jared, Jordan, Andrew, Jake, Liz, Matt and Kayla - and my family and friends) for sharing in on the experiences of fears and goals. And a huge thank you goes out to our instructor Christine for reminding us all that "You WILL regret it if you don't even try!"

Now I know that the next time I have a huge obstacle or experience to conquer all I need to remember is to...Focus, Find my center of balance, Open my eyes wide... and leap with both arms open to whatever my come next.
