Hello,

I wish to add notes/introdutions to some of the files I'm uploading to my Showcase page. I tried dragging a textbox, but it just creates an additional heading/section below the "Awards/Special Projects" heading. Initially, I wanted to divide the later into "Presentations," "Brochures," etc. but ran into the same problem. Any suggestions?

Hi Eunice,

Instead of using a text box, you may want to try adding descriptions to your files that will appear right next to the file. It's easiest to add descriptions from the "My files" section. Here's how:

1. Click the green "My Portfolio" button
2. Click the silver "My files" button
3. Select the file or folrder you would like to add a decription to and click the green select button
4. Insert description in the description box. NOTE: Although the box is narrow, you can actually write a lengthy description.
5. Click "Save changes"

Thanks again! That is what I figured in the end. Unfortunately, that does not give you the option of getting creative with fonts.

I have another issue at this time. I had asked Dr. P. to take a look at a section of my portfolio and I got this reply: "I just checked your eportfolio and I do not see any of your pages - only your groups and your friends.  Check on the settings for your pages."

My pages are all availabel to "friends" except for "Rubrics," which I'm not using. Could you check my public profile view and see if you are able to view my pages? Thanks again Samantha--you've been awfully patient with me!

Hi Eunice!

No problem! Yes, unfortunately you cannot play with different formats of fonts when adding a description.

I cannot see your pages either because I am not on your list of friends. Make sure that you have added your professor as a friend so she can see your pages that you have given your friends access to.

Let me know if this does not work.
