About me
Hi my name is Angelina Hall and welcome to my ePortfolio. I am an accelerated nursing student at Pace University. I graduated from Pace University with a bachelors in biology in 2013. I was involved in many clubs such as SAAC and the omega house club. I was captain of the cheerleading for two years and a member for four.
I have had many years of experience as a lifeguard. This job has been beneficial because it gave me the opportunity to protect citizens lives. I have worked with parents and their children and became certified in multiple areas. I am currently certified in responding to emergencies adult first aid/CPR/AED review with asthma, epinephrine, and bloodborne pathogens training, water safety instructor, and lifeguard management. This job has taught me many important skills.
I have also had experience working in an orthodontist office with patients. This job taught me communication skills, allowed me to educate patients, work with patients charts, and important sterilization techniques.
Volunteering in multiple hospitals gave me the opportunity to help the medical staff as well as patients. I worked with the patient advocates and assured patients were being treated well. Volunteering in the emergency room was a valuable experience. I was able to make patients more comfortable and assist nurses and doctors with various tasks such as retrieving medication from the pharmacy.
My short term goal is to graduate from the accelerated nursing program and become a registered nurse. My long term goal is to work in the hospital and then continue my education to become a nurse practitioner. I look forward to extending myself to others and giving the best care possible.
