Modeling for Pace RSS
I modeled for Pace for a total of four times. It's a funny story how I caught the "Pace Modeling Bug." My freshman year, first semester, I was enjoying a hot dog while watching a photographer take snap shots of T-Bone and the cheer leaders. The photographer turned around and made a comment to me that made me laugh. Not long after he asked if I was interested in taking some shots for Pace. I agreed and signed the waivers but I had no idea that the pictures would be used in numerous locations.
The photos were used on Spring Registration Books/Postcards/Posters in 2010, on Paper Door Hangers for the dorms, and to this day there is still a picture on the New York City Campus in the Barnes and Noble Bookstore window.

My Art World
I've been drawing since I was a kid. I can't remember a time where I wasn't involved in art. It all started when I was five years old. I got my first award in an art contest for the Peekskill City Health Center. Since then, my mom made sure I was enrolled in at least one art course each academic year up to my last year of high school. You can see more of my art work under my "Showcase" section of my ePortfolio.

Why I love Acting <3 RSS

One thing I love to do is act! I absolutely love placing myself in someone else's shoes even if it's for a short period of time. I have done short skits in the past for classes in both middle school and high school, but in Middle school, I had the opportunity to be the stage director. I guess you can say that's when I truly found out how much I liked being an actress. Having the opportunity to guide my peers in the Anne Frank Play was an unforgettable time for me. At age fourteen, I was happy to see the characters unfold and be able to say I had a part in that!
In the photo below, I played the character, Lisa Grace, a secretary from my friend, Almam Akempta-Kargbo's Student Film, DRIVE. It was the first time I acted in a film on Pace's campus. I also had a great time portraying Lisa once again in Almam Akempta-Kargbo's film "GRACE", where I played one of the main characters struggling with adapting to life on campus with my younger sister, Deriree played by my friend, Patrika. The bloopers were hilarious and we all had a fun time on set.
