This page answers the question, "Who are you?" A question that many employers ask to gain a better understanding of the person seated in front of them. The page highlights what is not on my resume, because it showcases me outside of my academic career. It shows what I am like outside of class and what I love to do.
Why Law?
My junior year of high school I took AP US History. During this class we looked at laws and court cases, and I began to fall in love with law. In senior year I took US Government. We took a trip to the court house and after spending the day I knew that I wanted to be a lawyer. We saw such different cases that day. They went from minor cases such as traffic infractions to those who were arrested for drug possession. College has only furthered my love for law and politics. Every class I take places me closer to my dream. I took business law in fall of 2014. It was my first law class and I loved it. It showed me a different side of law that I was not exposed to in high school, high school showed me the court system, while this class showed me the beginning of corporate law.

A little about me:
I am a Political Science major with a Prelaw minor. I have always loved school and have worked hard to get where I am today. I am the oldest of three girls and have grown up trying to be a role model for my sisters. I have grown stronger because of events that life has thrown at me. These events have taught me who I truly am and have helped to make me the person I am today. One of my favorite quotes is by Derek Jeter, "There may be people who have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do." I love this quote because of how relatable it is to my life. I have always had to work hard for the things that I receive in my life. I was never that kid who was "naturally good" at something; I was that kid who had to practice until it was perfect.
Sports
I grew up playing sports. I played softball for fourteen years, it was more than just a sport it was a passion. I played varsity tennis at my high school for four years and my senior year I was named a captain. Playing sports has given me the competitive drive that I have today.

I love photography. Growing up I was never good at art. When I got to Pace I had to take an art class so I opted for photography. I am so glad that I did because I have grown to love it. Photography has allowed me to be "artsy" and show off my creative side.
