Music

In this section you will get to see my taste in music. I am of Puerto Rican descent. In my culture, music is very important. As a result,  my heritage has contributed to my love and appreciation of music. Genre's such as R&B, funk, rock, jazz, and my favorite Latin music, were constants in my household thus helping me grow a unique affinity for them. Below you can view some of my favorite albums ranging from Salsa music by Marc Anthony  to R&B music by Usher.

Hobbies

I believe it is important to fill my time with activities and hobbies. Besides listening to music and watching movies I love to exercise and stay fit. My favorite fitness activities are basketball, boxing, and Muay Thai.

Growing up I had always expressed interest in playing basketball. When I participated in my first basketball camp at 10 years old I was hooked. However, it wasn't until I did a book report on Michael Jordan that my love for the sport was solidified. After that, I participated in numerous basketball camps as well as becoming a huge New York Knicks fan. My love of basketball exposed me to other sports such as baseball and football leading me to become a New York Yankee and Dallas Cowboys fan. Sports ultimately became an important aspect of my life as it gave me an outlet to develop a relationship with my father.

As a child I participated in martial artist. I remember going my Tae Kwondo Dojo in the Bronx, smelling the rich canvas of the matt and yells of my fellow martial artists as they artistically practiced their techniques. When my family and I moved to Yorktown Heights in Westchester county I lost interest  martial arts. My passion for martial arts was reignited when my mother gave me a gift membership for Christmas to a local mixed martial arts gym "Bad Mikes".

Below are some photos of some of my hobbies and interest.

Movies

Like musics, movies and television where an integral part of my upbringing. I can recall as a small child my parents, brother, and I would  go to movies almost every weekend. Watching television and movies with my family became an important bonding experience which we continue to cherish. As I got older, my affinity for movies and television would continue to grow. It wasn't until I took my first film course in my junior year of high school that my love of movies would be cemented. It was there that I learned movies go beyond entertainment. Film is actually an art form with a story to tell. Above are some my favorite films and television shows which I continue to watch frequently.
