Hi all!

Just for your general acknowledgement , I would like you all to know that although I am providing the "business aspect" of getting us together, we have Mehrnaz to thank for the great idea of working in study groups! Thank you Mehrnaz!

I'd like to start off with saying how excited I am to be officially kicking off our meetings on the right track.  Although we have yet to get together, the portfolio will be a tremendous tool.  Not only will it benefit us in staying organized this semester, but it will provide the same opportunity for those in the future.

The success of our groups will be participation.  I insist upon any and ALL suggestions.  We will be working as a team to make each other's semester as easy and fulfilling as possible; never hesitate to speak up.

I also wish to thank Dr. Knepper, Dr. Chen, and Dr. Hormozi for being so incredibly helpful in getting our study group in order.  A special thanks to Samantha Egan for creating this group for us.  Thank you all very much.

Moving on, I just want  to provide a current roster of those who have been in touch with me.  If I do not have you on the list, PLEASE contact me or repost so that I have your information.  For those of you on the list who I do not have your email provided, not to worry, I will look you up in the class roster if necessary.

In response to your place on the roster, I am also hoping to hear your topics of interest.  Although we are an open and informal group, guidelines will be helpful to provide some ease for our discussions.  Also, the more feedback I gain, the better I can satisfy everyone's requests. 

**PLEASE provide me with the courses you are in whenever stating your interests or suggestions so that I do not confuse you.  Thank you!

Lastly, seeing as how next week is an incomplete week, we will not be meeting on Monday.  For those interested in getting together on Wednesday (including those of you in Dr. Chen's course) please let me know as soon as possible.  If there enough of us, I would love to have our first get together and get the ball rolling; otherwise, we will wait until next Monday during our virtual class with Dr. Chen.

Those in 601 and 604 will likely be meeting on Wednesdays.  Those in Dr. Chen's course will be meeting during and potentially after class on Mondays.
