Farrokh Hormozi - Member
Farrokh Hormozi, M.S., M.A., Ph.D.
Farrokh Hormozi, received his Ph.D. in economics from the Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the New School for Social Research, New York, holds an MA degree in Economic Statistics, MS in mathematics, and has done postgraduate work in Topology, Numerical Methods, and Automata Theory at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, New York. He is currently a Professor of Economics and Public Policy and Chair of the Graduate Public Administration Department atPace University,New York. He is the Acting Director and Senior Economist at the Michaelian Institute for Public Policy and Research, Pace University, and has served as an Assistant to the Provost in Economics Research (2002 to 2007). Horrmozi’s theoretical interest is in Complexity Analysis, Job Design and Productivity, Catastrophe/Chaos Theory and his applied interest and research is in Strategic Planning, Economic Modeling and Forecasting. Dr. Hormozi is the principal Investigator of Pace Downtown Index (PDI), an index of economic activities for the Lower Manhattan, the City of New York. Also, he had developed two indices for the Information Technology Labor Market, Pace-SkillPROOF Index of IT Employment for Westchester County, New York, (PSII for Westchester) and PSII for Manhattan, the City of New York. These indices are published quarterly by Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems of Pace University. Hormozi has done extensive work, and conducted many seminars in Strategic Planning and marketing, particularly in governmental and health care organizations, in the United States and abroad. His publications have appeared in various professional journals including Journal of Mathematical Social Sciences, Journal of Human System Management and Journal of Management and Office Information System, and is a member of the American Economic Society, Western Economic Society and Royal Economic Society. Dr. Hormozi Received the Pace University Distinguished Service Award in 2006 and 2012.
