Quotes
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.
Albert Einstein
This quote has always stood out to me because it really depicts how we should live our lives, just to not worry about tomorrow; because tomorrow will care for itself.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
Steve Jobs
This quote to me means that outside force shouldn't dictate our lives or control the decisions that we make.
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
Barack Obama
To me this quote signifies to me that we should be the start of change.
Reflection
The biggest adaptation I have had to make in my life was moving to college. Not only was it totally different from high school in relation to the content of classes and homework, but it was also completely different from my home life. I'm living on my own, with new surroundings and new people. Needless to say, coming to Pace University was something like I had never experienced before. Generally, college classes aren't that much more difficult than high school courses. The big difference is that in college I have to do all of my homework outside of class. There's no study hall in college. I have to take it upon myself to get to the library if needed or ask the necessary questions. Also, with all of the independence I now have, I sometimes forget to prioritize and manage my time and because of that I put homework and studying for last minute, which is probably my worst habit by far. So far the most impportant thing I've learned in college is that college is about developing a stronger work ethic and testing the limits of my personal ambition.
