About Me
Welcome, my name is Maharlika Alangilan. My friends call me “Maha” for short. I’m of Filipino descent and was born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut. I’m currently studying business and majoring in accounting. Also, I am involved in a cultural student organization named Desi Heritage of South Asia (DHOSA) here at Pace. I chose Pace because of its diversity, village location, variety of extracurricular activities, and of course, its prestigious academics.
I strongly care for my education, but I also like to have a good time. One of my main hobbies is figure skating. I started when I was 4 and have been skating competitively for 11 years. Once I stopped competing, I began to work at my hometown’s ice skating rink to teach kids how to figure skate. When the season’s over I enjoy fishing and hiking. I love being outdoors and I have been fishing ever since I could remember. My dad taught me everything I know and we always go fishing together.
