I've worked at Academic Technology since Fall 2013, and this job has helped me learn more about ePortfolio than I would have learned on my own.

Reflection

My first experience with ePortfolio was in Spring 2013. I had some difficulty using the platform at first, but after playing around with it I found it quite simple to use. Looking back on where I started and where I am today, my usage of ePortfolio has definitely changed. At first I was focused on creating my ePortfolio for classes, but now I focus on molding it into something to put on my resume. I think ePortfolio is a great tool to supplement my resume when applying for a job. It helps employers see me as a person rather than just a sheet of paper. I really love how creative I can be with ePortfolio, and my pages definitely showcase that. I include my travel photos and some of the short stories I’ve written to exemplify my writing skills and interest in travel.

My travel, culture, and awards pages have the most content because they are the things I’m most proud of. I worked very hard to graduate summa cum laude and I like having a public place to display my diploma. Traveling is very dear to my heart, and by showing my international experience to potential employers, I have a higher chance of getting to work on international assignments. My ePortfolio has grown with me since I first started using it, and I see myself adding work projects to my resume page as my work experience grows.
