BRONXNET COMMUNITY TELEVISION
BronxNet provides hands-on television production training, equipment access and channels for Bronx residents. BronxNet programs are broadcast on channels 67, 68, 69, 70, 951 and 952 on Optimum and on 33, 34, 35, 36, 37 and 38 on Verizon Fios in the Bronx.
Intern Responsibilities
BronxNet is an amazing opportunity where college students can prepare for media careers behind and in front of the camera through BronxNet’s Training Program for Future Media Professionals.
At BronxNet, I am a Production and Reporter Intern. I am responsible for:
- Assist with live show set up by setting up audio equipment, white balancing cameras and distribute rundown to the control room
- Operate teleprompter for show host by editing content and controlling pace to ensure successful broadcast
- Provide on-air guests with microphone equipment upon arrival and ensure accurate audio levels
- Write, produce & edit assigned local stories
- Work inside the television studio and outside in the field
