 Christian Arriaga-Flores. You heard of the name but not know much about him. Where shall we start? I was born and raised in Newburgh, New York. A town that is 60 miles north from New York City. Ever since high school I knew that I wanted to work and be hands on all aspects of production. From writing to graphic designing to camera work, I knew that this was my calling.

Right after high school, I attended SUNY Dutchess Community College where I was able to obtain Associate of Science in Media Communication and Arts. In addition to completing my Associates Degree, I was able to manage a group and produce seven videos for a client.

I transferred to Mercy College and was able to get more hands-on experience with camera, video editing and writing for the college newspaper. While attending Mercy College, I was able to get an internship at BronxNet and got a taste on what it feels like to work for a television news environment. 

In May of 2017, I graduated from Mercy College with a B.S. in Radio and Television Production. I was the first one in my generation to receive a Bachelors Degree.

After much consideration, I decided to further my studies and pursue my Masters in Media & Communication Arts at Pace University. During my short time at Pace, my knowledge and experience of media and production has grown significantly.

“Show me. Don’t tell me.” A quote that I learned from my screenwriting professor and try to live by.
