I am fortunate enought to be in a amazing orginazation called Kappa Delta Sorority. Kappa Delta or KD as it is commonly called, was founded on October 23rd 1897 at teh Female State Normal School, which is now known as Longwood University. Pace Univeristy's chapter, known as the Eta Iota chapter, was founder March 11th 2007. My sister was a Kappa Delta and I am lucky enough to carry on the tradation of be a Kappa Delta Webmaster aswell. I currently hold a few leadership positions and am able to call the 55 girls in my chapter some of my closest friends.

During the summer of 2010, I was one of 15 student leaders to help incoming freshman and transfer student navigate their way though Pace University. Though this process in training, we worked a lot on group dynamics, learning about ever department in the university on the New York City campus, and were able to put faces to names as in whom to contact if student want more information about that particular department or if we as orientation leaders would like more information about policy and procedures in relations to how the university works. This job has made me solidify my choice to further my education towards becoming a teacher.
