Academic Background
I am a recent graduate of Pace University, 2014, where I finished with a degree in Communications, and minored in Journalism. I did not realize until it was too late that I wanted to be a writer, so I chose to minor in Journalism instead of completing a double major. I am currently in graduate school at Pace University, and hope to receive my Masters Degree in Communications in 2015. Before Pace I attended Morristown High School in Morristown, New Jersey, and finished with a 3.4 GPA.
What I Hope to do After School
Once I receive my Masters Degree from Pace, I hope to work in the field of Journalism. I have a lot of passion for writing, and I love every bit of it. My favorite thing about writing is that it gives me the chance to be creative. I enjoy making each story, or assignment, my own, by adding my own little unique twist to my sentences.
However, if I was allowed to choose a specific field inside of journalism, I would choose to be a sports journalist. I am a huge sports fan, and I grew up idolizing sports reporters as they traveled with teams across the country, and were able to attend every major sporting event. I would also love to meet some of the athletes, and have the chance to interview them and learn their story.

Personal Reflection
When this project was first assigned, I was very nervous. I did not think I had accomplished nearly enough things in my life to fill up five different pages of information. Being a recent college graduate, I have not worked in many serious jobs, and have not really had the chance to gain too much experience working in the field of journalism. However, as I progressed with my eportfolio, I found that I have done more in my life than I originally thought.
The whole eportfolio process taught me a lot about myself, and that just because I am not currently working as a journalist like I had hoped, I am on my way towards it. I learned that I am on the right track towards my goals, and have worked hard at attaining them. What has stuck out to me was how far I have come with my writing, especially when I compared my earlier class assignments to my blog writing for Off the Trax Records. It is interesting to see how much I have grown as a writer, and yet how much growing there is still to do.
I think that eportfolio will play a role in helping me land a job in the future. Being able to show a potential employer an interactive resume, with major facets of my life included in it, will give me an edge over another person competing for the same job with just a plain resume. Eportfolio allows me to show the employer multiple examples of my work, and tell him or her a shortened story of my life, something a regular resume would not be able to do. Overall, the eportfolio assignment was a challenge to me, but a challenge that I am glad I was put through. Eportfolio has taught me a lot about myself, and will be beneficial to me in the future.
Classes I have Completed
During my undergraduate schooling, I completed numerous writing and communications classes, including;

During my Sophomore at Pace University I completed a course in Mass Communication for the Internet. Part of the course involved choosing a company, and keeping an updated blog about them. None of the information had to be true, and you were allowed to make up new products that are coming out. The link below will take you my completed Yankee Candle Blog.
