TESTIMONIALS
Communications Professor - Dr. Michelle Pulaski-Behling
As a student Diandra has been one of my best. Diandra has a knack for stimulating indepth discussion on appropriate course related topics. In these discussions it is apparent that Diandra spends a great deal of time educating herself on issues that matter to her. Diandra is always well prepared for class assignments and demonstrates superior organizational skills as reflected in her grades.
Outside of the classroom, Diandra is a member of the Communications Honor Society, Lambda Pi Eta. As advisor for the honor society, I have had the honor of inducting Diandra into the national honors association. She also serves as Copy Editor for Pace’s Student newspaper the Paw Print. Through her involvement in these groups, Diandra has shown that she can balance both course work and extracurricular activities.
Above all Diandra is an outstanding communicator. Diandra has demonstrated excellent writing and presentation skills in several of courses including my Ethics, Morality and the Media course. In this class, Diandra’s final group project was well received by the class.

Westchester Magazine Managing Editor - John Turiano
Diandra Garcia interned for Westchester Magazine for the Fall 2009 (early Sept through Dec 18). She completed 244 hours, working Thursday and Friday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. The magazine is a monthly consumer lifestyle publication with about 70,000 subscribers, 6,500 monthly newsstand sales, plus a pass-on rate of 280,000.
Diandra worked in the editorial department on numerous projects, including assisting with research for magazine articles on How to Deep Fry a Turkey, Local Malls By the Numbers, and a real estate FOB piece called Home Economics, numerous write-ups for various e-newsletters (essentially calendar events), image requests for art department, and lots of fact-checking. She also performed myriad administrative duties (making copies, faxing, filing, sending out magazines) pursuant to publishing our issues. Her organizational and interpersonal skills, especially, are well developed. Additionally, Diandra’s phone manner is always professional.
Diandra is the type of intern the staff won’t forget as she always was on time, did what was asked of her to the best of her ability, and was extremely conscientious and pleasant. We were happy to have had her as an intern and wish she could have stayed longer.
Please feel free to e-mail or call me with any reference to Diandra as a worker and person.
