CBS News
In the fall of 2011 I was a public relations intern for CBS News. This was my first professional experience working in the intimidating environment of New York City. Initially, I was star struck driving into New York with the "regular" crowd, sitting in the morning and evening commutes while contributing to major news network. I could not believe that I was going to be contributing to a national news program that affects millions of people. This was a big deal for a California kid who would watch the news three hours later than other people and then I found myself in the building where the news was actually made. During my time there I helped with the press conference for the announcement of the new morning show called CBS This Morning where CBS announced that Charlie Rose and Gayle King would be contributors along side Erica Hill. My highlight of my time at CBS News was when I was able to attend the pep rally that CBS held on the set of the David Letterman Show. These experiences left me in awe at how these types of organizations actually operate. I am truly grateful for the opportunity that I was given to participate in such an amazing internship.

ESPN Radio
In the summer of 2011 I was an intern for ESPN Radio 1450 The Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts to work along side the Average Joe Show. Before the show I would research popular sports articles and help pitch them to the on-air talent. I would also come up with questions for games to play on-air trivia where listeners could win tickets to events in the local area. I love interacting with the on-air talent because they were just as passionate about sports as well as myself. I actually met someone who was a fan of the San Francisco Giants like myself and it was fun being to talk to him about the team. My favorite part about interning there was being able to work in the Basketball Hall of Fame. I have a deep respect for Hall of Fames and to be able to work for a sports radio company in that environment just gets you excited each and everyday. I met some truly fun and remarkable people during my time there whom I remain in contact with to this day.
