Semester Abroad: Wesley Institute

In the summer of 2010, I left the United States and along with thirty other Americans flew to Sydney, Australia to study abroad at the Wesley Institute's Australia Studies Centre program in Drummoyne, New South Whales. During my time at Wesley Institute I took two courses with my fellow Americans led by our program leader and professor. We learned together about Australian Culture as well as learned about this history of the Indigenous people of the Area. While taking those two courses we also integrated ourselves into classes with other Australian students. While studying at Wesley I studied theogy, video productions and graphic design. These courses provided me with a lifetime of experiences that I wish I could have back everyday and I am forever greatful to have had that experience. It was a tough transition to learn a completely different style of learning and teaching but was completely worth while.

Graduate School: Pace University

I am currently a Pace Univeristy graduate school student in the Dyson College of Arts and Science pursuing my Masters degree in Media and Communications. I chose Pace because of the location to New York City and the great opportunities that the school provides to mold students into becoming professionals. Although I have only been at the school for a short time now, with each class I am learning information that I was unable to receive in my undergraduate school. I am truely greatful for the opportunity to pursue higher education at Pace and feel that this was the best direction for my future. Pace offers students access to wealth of knowledge in the media field with their professional faculty and students who have real life experience working in the field. I look forward to continuing my studies into the future and hope to graduate in December 2013.

Graduation 2012

Undergraduate Degree: Nyack College Class of 2012

I graduate from Nyack College a year early in 2012 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Communications and a minor in Biblical Studies. During my time at Nyack College I took general education courses about World Civilizations, Philosophy, Global Literature, College Writing I and II, Elementary Spanish I and II as well as a course about the diversity of the United States. As a communications major I took courses that I felt would help me to understand the field of communications and broaden my view. During my time as a student at Nyack I held internships at major organizations such as CBS News and ESPN Radio as well as hosted my own radio show for WNYK 88.7 for a semester. My experiences at Nyack helped to mold me into the professional that I am aspiring to be everyday.
