I love to create, whether for work or for play.

Here are some of the ways I express my creativity outside of work.

State String Art

I made this artwork as a Christmas gift for a friend. She is originally from L.A. and currently lives in Brooklyn, so I wanted to pay tribute to her love of both coasts. I stained the wood before hand painting "Brooklyn" and "Los Angeles" repeatedly. I used nails and yarn to create the shapes of the states. I made sure to place a heart where Brooklyn and L.A would be.

Dresser Revamps

This is a before (left) and after (right) of a dresser that I refurbished for use in my kitchen. I painted the dresser mint green, tiled the top in black and white tiles, and replaced all the old knobs with gold metal ones.

This is a before (top) and after (bottom) of a dresser that I refurbished for use in my living room. I painted the dresser in a pale purple/gray and replaced all of the old knobs with gold and crystal ones.

Castle Cake

I made this cake for a little girl’s princess themed birthday party. The accents are all made from fondant. The pillars on the castle are made from rice treats covered in fondant and the roof is made from sugar cones covered in two shades of pink fondant circles.

Deer Cake

I made this cake for a baby shower. I decorated the cake in the same theme as the baby’s nursery. The tree was hand painted with edible paint, the deer topper was molded from fondant and hand painted. The animal accents were all cut from fondant and hand painted.

3 Tiered Swirl Cake

I made this cake for a bridal shower. The colors of the wedding were brown, gold, and salmon. The piping was done by hand. The flowers are edible and were hand made from gum paste.

Harley Cake

I made this cake for my Dad’s birthday. He loves Harley’s and everything Harley Davidson. The logo was hand cut from fondant and hand pipped with icing. All detailing on the "leather jacket" was done by hand.

Nike Sneaker Cake

This is a Nike sneaker cake that I made for a man’s 30th birthday. His wife sent me a photo of his favorite Nike sneaker and asked me to replicate it. The cake was for a relatively large party, so I made a cake to look like the Nike sneaker box as well. This cake was hand carved, and decorated with fondant. Everything was edible. The Nike logo, Jordan logo, laces and all accents were hand cut from fondant.

Thomas The Train

I made this cake for my nephew’s birthday. The party was Thomas the Train themed. All accents were handmade from fondant and were edible (the “coal” in the back are chocolate covered raisins).

Sesame Street Cupcakes

These are some of the 80 cupcakes that I made for a little girl’s birthday party. It was Sesame Street themed, so I created toppers of the most popular Sesame Street characters. All handmade from fondant.

Beach Cupcakes

I made these cupcakes for my Mom’s birthday. She loves flip flops and the beach, so I wanted to create something that made her think of a relaxing day in the sun. The flip flops and seashells were molded from fondant and painted by hand. The "sand" is crushed graham cracker. The umbrella is the only thing that is not edible.

Boombox Cake

I made this cake for a co-worker’s birthday. Like myself, she loves 80’s and 90’s music so I wanted to make a cake that celebrated that. Cake board is decorated with fondant and the cassette tapes and all accents are made from fondant. The buttons were painted with edible paint.
