In the Spring 2017 semester, I mentored and advised a student presenting at the 2017 Rebundling Higher Education: High Impact Portfolio Practice and the New Digital Ecosystem conference, which also won Pace University's March 2017 Student ePortfolio of the Month.

Taught First-Year Seminar (FYS 11) with theme of advising and choosing majors. Advised students in my class, using e-advisement and Peoplesoft. Acclimated students to their first year in college by assigning work covered students’ majors. Reviewed CUNY placement scores and how to choose classes for upcoming semesters. Discussed any topics that would help students through their first semester in college. Used Blackboard and other academic technology to teach my courses.

Reviewed English and basic science courses to small groups of nursing majors. Taught workshops on academic literacy, scientific writing, and editing and proofreading, to the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students in the nursing program.

Book Review Editor (July 2008 – Present)

Solicit new book reviews as needed. Select two reviews for each issue of the journal (one textbook review and one resource text review). Edit those reviews to prepare them for publication. Act as liaison with publishers to have review copies distributed to reviewers and create/maintain a list on the SLWIS website of new SLW-related texts for review.
