I joined this amazing non-profit organization when I was only twenty years old. It was around that time that I started developing my skills and passion for film. The non-profit had been founded for only a year when I joined. Though they were new, I was more than excited to be working with them. My first job with Promoting Health in Haiti was a video producer. I filmed, edited, and produced all of the films for PHH. The first documentary I did was at twenty years old in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I was asked to join them on their trip to discuss funding for the nursing school they were attempting to build. My initial thought was to document the trip and do a "Behind the Scenes" video of what it takes to keep PHH up and running. I totally changed direction when I stepped foot off of that plane. It became a film about Haiti, and the people of Haiti. I filmed the horror I witnessed and it was the hardest film I have done even still today. The film turned out beautifully and PHH presented it at their first fundraiser. We raised over twenty thousand dollars that night. The funding was slow up until the premiere of the film. I was thanked and given a large amount of credit for the donations. I stuck with Promoting Health in Haiti ever since, and took the role of social media manager, web designer, and film producer. I even went back to Haiti for a second documentary.

This non-profit reached out to me for video and photography projects. It felt great to be a part of an organization that advances healthcare leadership, and education world wide. I have filmed many fundraisers for IHL and interviewed world renowned surgeons and healthcare professionals. I have also produced my own short films for IHL to display on their website for promotional use. I work directly with the CEO, and his team. I am largely part of the creative process and they depend on me alone to ensure these jobs get done. I have gained experience conducting interviews in ways that ensure I get the responses I need to make a successful film

Over the summer of 2016 I worked as a graduate assistant at Pace University for the College of Health Professions. ALPS is a program in the College of Health Professions' department. The wonderful ALPS team asked me to help re-design and re-organize their entire website. I did their website from scratch. Every week I met with the ALPS team to receive the documents and photos they wanted me to include. We also discussed how to make the website the best it could be. I took it upon myself to recommend creating short promotional videos for the website, as their target audience is of a younger age, my age! I felt that I could make promotional videos to help increase the traffic to their website.
