In my Writing Public Relations Copy class, our final project was to create and plan an event for a non-profit organization of our choice. I chose to do my project on the SPCA of Briarcliff Manor because I have a passion and love for animals. This was a made up event and we weren't actually working with the organizations, however we were required to plan as if we working in PR for the organization. We created many documents for the event and compiled them into a folder with the organization logo on the front and every document inside. These documents included: a fact sheet, budget and timeline, backgrounder, news release, internal newsletter, external newsletter, media advisory, invitations, business card, and a flyer. Below are a few of my documents from my final presentation. I received an A on the project and I brought it along to my FOX interview as a sample of my work and it helped me land the internship!
