Novo Organic Skincare
As stated on my Work & Life Experiences page, during my last semester at Pace, I was a Communications Consultant for a local New Jersey business, Novo Organic Skincare. I have always (if you couldn't tell by my previous experiences) been attracted to skincare and health and wellness. I started by analyzing Novo's reputation in the community, as well as her online presence. From there, I was able to come up with many effective strategies and tactics to improve Novo's reputation, create sample client rewards cards, a rack card, tip sheet, and other promotional items like gym towels, t-shirts, and water bottls, to build her business and clientele. Take a look through my final Communications Plan attached!

Aspen Snowmass Press Kit/PR Plan
Revlon & Aspen Snowmass Press Kit/PR Plans
During my internship, all of the Spring 2012 interns were split into groups to work on a semester-long project of making a PR Plan for different publicity efforts. My group was given the task of researching the most influential makeup and beauty bloggers and to then think of a way to promote Revlon and Almay (Almay is also owned by Revlon) teaming up with each blogger. The blogger's views and beliefs had to reflect those of Revlon's and Almay's, since each company has their own unique messages and mission statements. This project was definitely difficult, as we were working in groups. Working on this project taught me not only how much goes into planning a PR campaign, but how to work effectively in a group, so everyone's opinions and thoughts were heard and combined in the project, while still maintaining the core goal.
For my Media Relations class, one of the projects we were assigned was my favorite project. We had to come up with an entire PR Plan including a messaging matrix, distribution strategies, and timelines, including many other aspects of a PR plan. I loved this project because I was able to make up an event for Aspen Snowmass/Aspen Skiing Company, and was able to put all of my ideas down in writing. I fell in love with Colorado and Aspen when I was skiing there last winter, which is what made this project fun and easy to complete, even though it took me the entire semester to work on!
WUTR Coats for Kids Interview
Coats for Kids
The Coats for Kids Coat Drive came about after the devastating floods of Halloween 2019 the Greater Utica area went through. Going into colder weather is never an easy transition, especially for those in need, but with flooding that completely destroyed homes, we knew we had to take part in helping our community. We donated hundreds of coats to three different city school districts and all with help from our amazing community and customers! This is an interview I did with one of our local news stations, WUTR.
Presenting at the NYS Communications Association Conference
New York State Communications Association Conference
Through encouragement of one of my professors, Dr. Paul Ziek, I, along with five of my fellow graduate students entered a proposal for the New York State Communications Association Conference for our Media/Public Relations Plans and Press Kits that we made for our Media Relations class with Professor Mark Bruce. We were accepted into the conference, which was focused on Communities of Communicative Practice and I presented my project on my Aspen Snowmass plan. I focused on how my communicative event would change perceptions of tourists and the media (focusing more on the travel industry media) by showing all of the activities that Aspen Snowmass has to offer in the Summertime. The media publicizes the town as a ski-town, so I wanted to change the public's views by creating a week-long kick-off to summer festival in the town of Aspen.
